CYW 146 Gibbon Falls

This day we’d be doing the entire upper part of the park’s figure-eight layout.  We decided that we wanted to attend the VERY LAST (for the year) ranger led Hot Spring Terrace Walk at Mammoth Hot Springs.  The walk was at 11 AM.  I was sure even with the road construction and other inevitable delays if we were on the road by 9 we’d cover the 35 miles with plenty of time to spare.  We ate a decent and not TOO outrageously expensive breakfast at the hotel and got rolling as scheduled.  We stopped BRIEFLY at the Gibbon Fall overlook on the Gibbon River.
