CYW 054 Ugly Site
Continuing north on US-191 while bobbing back and forth across the Hoback River, and near the town of Bondurant we saw this less than pretty site. It doesn’t look like a fire site, and likely is some kind of infestation killing the trees. I found the exact same spot on Google Street View from September 2015 and the hill was quite lush back then. From here it was drive, drive, drive in our push to get to Grand Teton Park. We passed through the incredibly busy (even in late September) town of Jackson, then hit the Visitor Center at Grand Teton to get oriented, then headed out into the park itself.
