CYW 148 Blood Geyser
This is about when travel time really started to become an issue. We saw a sign for “Artists Paintpots”. Since the paintpots the day before had been so neat, we decided to take a quick look. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the typical 1,000 foot trail, but rather a 1 mile one with significant vertical change to it. Near the far end of it was Blood Geyser, so named because of its largely red color due to all the iron oxide present.
