CYW 073 From Atop Signal Mountain
Given that it took us nearly half a day to even get to it, we never really considered the visit to Grand Teton would be anything more than a “drive-by”. We drove up Signal Mountain Road to get a better overall view. Signal Mountain is 7,720 feet above sea level, but that’s only 889 feet above the surrounding terrain. In this shot you can clearly see the aforementioned “hole” that is Jackson. While we were there others with super high power optics convinced us that there was a moose drinking out of the lake just right of center in this shot. Ken eventually convinced himself he saw it too, though now he sure can’t see it in this shot.
