CYW 042 Colorado River 2
After making it through Glenwood Canyon we continued down I-70 until we got to Rifle CO, then started the LONG (and fairly boring) drive to the northwest toward our overnight destination in Rock Springs WY. Google Maps offered three alternative routes. Two were more or less equivalent in terms of distance and time. The third was somewhat shorter distance-wise, but further research revealed about 20 miles of it was not paved. Ultimately we settled on the route that seemed to likely be more scenic, and passed on the more populated path (despite Ken’s on-going concerns about the “CHECK ENGINE” light – which so far had not re-illuminated.)
