CYW 221 Emerald Spring
In a clear blue pool, the water is absorbing all of the colors except blue, which is what is reflected back to our eyes. Here another factor enters into the equation. This pool is lined with sulfur, and the yellow of the sulfur combines with the reflected blue light to make the spring appear emerald green.
