CYW 091 Bluebell Pot
It is important to understand that the majority of the amazing colors seen in the waters of Yellowstone are not minerals, but rather heat loving bacteria called thermophiles (literally “lovers of heat”). Research into these organisms is providing insights in to the origins of life itself, and perhaps the capacity of life to exist outside of the narrow norms considered on Earth.
