CYW 283 Old Platte Bridge

Louis Guinard built a bridge here in 1858 and troops from the Platte Bridge Station began to guard the telegraph line and emigrants on the Oregon Trail.  The toll for wagons to cross was between one and six dollars depending on the height of the river.
